Mudmen

Rock, Celtic, or country, it's all Celtic to the Mudmen.

Known as “Canada’s Celtic Rock Warriors,” the Mudmen celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2023 and have performed in more than 3,000 shows.

While their originals and covers may have Irish, country, or rock roots, their Celtic heritage is evident in every song. For example, the Mudmen may be the only Celtic band to play “Ring of Fire,” and the arrangement includes exuberant accompaniment by the bagpipers.

Founding members and brothers Robby and Sandy Campbell both play bagpipes. Colin Amey is on lead vocals and acoustic guitar; Andy Gingerich is on drums and percussion; Alex Showdra plays both electric guitar and banjo, and sings back-up vocals; and Emmett Glancie plays bass guitar and also sings back-up vocals. For the record, Sandy Campbell is also credited for his “Stage Banter.”

Their music, song choices, original tunes, and stage banter all add up to create spirited performances that never fail to delight the audience.
