Sidewalk 65
This good-time party band plays gigs and special events, and gets folks dancing.
The rock trio Sidewalk 65, from Jacksonville, performs classic rock and roll, Motown, R&B, with a bit of country tossed in. They have an active schedule performing at venues in and near Jacksonville and at special events and private parties throughout Northeast Florida.
Instead of offering a list of songs, they present the bands and solo acts who wrote or made the songs famous. It's a long list, from A Flock of Seagulls to ZZ Top. They've been known to channel the Blues Brothers, complete with dark suits and black fedoras, and that type of commitment, along with their relaxed stage presence, makes for a fun evening.
Videos and photos of their performances show the crowd getting on the dance floor again and again, as a familiar song gets them moving.
Michael Hogan plays bass, Mark Majeski plays drums, and Mike Rollins alternates between the electric guitar and keyboards. All three sing lead vocals or harmony, depending on the song.
