City Walks Food & Wine Tours
City Walks Food and Wine Tours pioneered the first culinary historic tours in St. Augustine nearly a decade ago. Now operated by Tour St. Augustine Inc., City Walks Food and Wine Tours also offers specialty tours like the Chocolate Tasting Tour, Historic Pub Crawl & Beer Tasting, Pet Walk Pup Crawl, Historic Walking Tour and more.
A staff of over 50 passionate and fully-licensed guides, historians, and tour coordinators ensure a world-class tour experience, where visitors can count on a warm welcome and an unforgettable tour experience. City Walks Food and Wine Tours has an on-staff Director of Education who ensures the accuracy of the historical information presented during the tours and each guide is committed to conveying St Augustine’s history to the tour group, while keeping the experience fun.
The tour groups are kept small to personalize each guest’s experience and, since there are no minimum head counts required, each tour is guaranteed to depart as scheduled.
The Original Savory Faire Food & Wine Tasting Tour is an award-winning three-hour tasting extravaganza which departs Wednesdays through Sundays and explores six to seven unique culinary venues, with the option to add a glass of boutique wine at each of the sit-down venues.
Another popular tasting tour offered by City Walks on Saturdays is the Historic Pub Crawl & Beer Tasting Tour, St. Augustine’s very first pub crawl tour which offers history and plenty of fun and beer while visiting four different taverns during the 2.5-hour tour.
The All Things Chocolate Tasting Tour is offered on the first Saturday of each month and on other select dates throughout the year and is a unique and delectable way to experience the nation’s oldest city. Guests explore culinary venues, local fixtures, and off-the-beaten-path foodie favorites to sample chocolate in all of its glorious variations.
The Gilded Age Tour is a special 75-minute tour offered on the first Saturday of each month where our guests join none other than Henry Flagler himself or one of his wives to explore the historic architecture of St. Augustine in the golden age of Henry Flagler's hotels, including exterior tours of the Ponce de Leon Hotel (now Flagler College) and the Hotel Alcazar (now the Lightner Museum).
On the third Friday of each month, enjoy St Augustine’s art and history with a licensed, professional tour guide on an intimate, entertaining 2.5 hour Art Stroll through the ancient streets of St Augustine’s historic district where guests learn how St. Augustine’s art, architecture and culture are juxtaposed to create one of the most unique old world cities in the US today.
As part of City Walks’ commitment to giving back to the community, supporting historic education and inspiring visitors to value and cherish cultural heritage tourism sites, City Walks is pleased to offer the following FREE walking tours:
The Pet Walk Pup Crawl is available on the second Saturday of each month. Guests can explore the timeless streets of St. Augustine’s downtown historic district and hear tales of the city's rich history while touring with their beloved pets. This guided walking tour is approximately an hour in length and covers several square blocks in the Flagler-era historic district.
The Historic Walking Tour is available on select Saturdays throughout the year. The perfect introduction to St. Augustine’s history and cultural influences, this one-hour guided tour offers visitors a chance to learn about the explorers, entrepreneurs and famous historic figures who have lived here and have left their mark on the city’s culture and personality. Tour participants will also discover the secrets of the Plaza and its beautiful monuments on this free tour.
