Cafe Eleven presents Ben Prestage in their listening room on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Combining the essence of the swamp with a rich musical heritage, Ben Prestage crafts his musical instruments from alligator heads and other unique materials. He developed a distinct sound that attracted fans "from the swamp to Tel Aviv."
A native of Florida, Prestage grew up aware of his great-grandmother's all-girl band and of his grandfather performing guitar in a Mississippi band. His solo performances began at small bars and venues and then transitioned into international tours.
Songs from Instrumental Instability, Beale Street, Down-Home and Down Made, Real Music, and One Crow Murder are instant favorites at folk, Americana, jazz, and blues festivals. Some of Prestage's accolades include Blues Music Awards nominations and the Lyon/Pitchford Award for his unique performances.
All ages welcome. However, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A $5 fee applies at the door for guests under 21.
