As part of Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy, author Michael Moss will present the lecture Hooked: The Extraordinary Science Behind Our Junk Food Addiction at 7:00 p.m on March 2, 2023 at the Lewis Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Michael Moss is a Pulitzer-winning investigative journalist and the author of a New York Times #1 bestseller, who explores subject matters that have gone under radar and remain unexposed. His goal is to reveal the truths behind life-altering dilemmas that people have been confronted with and pondered, yet have not considered all the factors which led to the source of the problem. Seeking to uncover the cause of obesity and addictions to food, Moss takes on the food giants as they use marketing tactics, ingredients, and other resources as a means to get consumers "hooked."
Flagler College's Forum on Government and Public Policy brings nationally recognized journalists, commentators and speakers to St. Augustine to discuss issues at hand in regional, state and federal government.
