  • The annual Willis Family Open House is a festival of holiday decor from top to bottom. Visitors who come by the Willis house can see 30 themed Christmas trees, 19 wreaths, holiday light displays and other holiday decor, both indoors and out. This year's event will take place from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, and will benefit K-9s for Warriors. From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., a K-9s for Warriors puppy-in-training will be in attendance, and Santa will visit from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m.

The Willis home is guaranteed to get everyone into the holiday spirit. The Christmas trees range from a Grinch tree and a Trains, Planes and Automobiles tree to a Star Trek tree and a gorgeous Nature Tree. Trees range in sizes from one foot to ten feet tall. Wreaths and other holiday ornaments line the walls and tables, and the outdoor displays look beautiful both in the daytime and at night. Supervised children are welcome at this event.

None of the trees are real, so anyone with allergies to natural trees can still attend. This year, there will be lots of new displays to enjoy, so there's even more to ooh and aah over. If you can't attend the open house, you can still send a donation for K9s for Warriors here.

Admission: FREE; donations to K9s for Warriors greatly appreciated.

Where: 740 S. Heritage Creek Way in St. Augustine, Florida 32084 (in Heritage Park New Hope Village, off Lewis Speedway).

    When: 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021

K9s for Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to our warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other traumas as a result of military service post 9/11. Their goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. The dogs being trained are also getting a new "leash" on life, as most of the dogs are rescue animals. If you can't attend the open house, you can still send a donation for K9s for Warriors here
