Pink Heals Family Barbecue Day

The St. Johns County Pink Heals Chapter will host a Family Barbecue day at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in recognition of all those affected by breast cancer.

The National Pink Heals Tour comes to St. Augustine during this Family Barbecue and will roll into the St. Johns County Fairgrounds on Sept. 28th! This national tour drives pink firetrucks and pink police cars across America bringing the "Cares Enough to Wear Pink"? and Pink Heals Movement to hundreds of cities!

Activities at the Family Barbecue will include Bounce houses, a rock-climb wall as well as other kid-friendly games and activities.

The adults, individuals and businesses participating in this event are encouraged to put together teams of 10 for a timed "Pink Fire Truck Pull Against Cancer" and Tug-O-War competitions. The team may call 813-6388 to sign up ahead of time.

Pink Heals provides a program for the community leaders to adopt, helping them fund raise for people rather than causes. This organization started in 2007 to help people battling cancer with a focus on women and what they mean to each of us.
