Romanza Festivale presents two Florida storytellers, David Fussell and Kathy Kniery, who share Florida stories on Thursday, May 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the garden of the Ximenez-Fatio House.
Both Kathy Kniery and David Fussell recently received the Ambassador of Storytelling Award from the Florida Storytelling Association. Kniery is a storyteller and folklorist and relates stories about people in history, devils and demons, and characters that make you smile. Fussell is a fifth-generation Florida Cracker, known for his poignant and humorous tales about Florida and the people who were born and raised here.
Each share stories in several genres: Florida history, folktales, and personal stories of things they did or witnessed.
