The Aqua East Surf Shop hosts the 8th Annual Aqua East Grom Fest on Friday, September 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Each day features a different challenge, such as skating on Friday and surfing on Saturday.

All ages and skill levels are encouraged to hop on their boards and ride out.

Friday, September 18—Skate Jam

The Skate Jam will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Robert-Laryn Skate Park at Treaty Park, located at 1595 Wildwood Drive in St. Augustine, FL 32086.

Saturday, September 19—Surf Contest

The Surf Contest will take place at the Southside St. Johns County Ocean Pier (350 A1A Beach Boulevard in St. Augustine, FL 32080) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All skill levels and ages are welcome. Register here for up-to-date information on other activities at this year's Grom Fest.

Admission: The Skate Jam is free. Participation in the Surf Contest is $50.00 per person, which applies to all the age and gender categories (eight and under, Girls 9-11, Boys 9-11, Girls 12-14, Boys 12-14, Junior Girls 15-17, Junior Boys 15-17, and Sandy Forsyth Longboard).

When: The Skate Jam is Friday, September 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Surf Contest is Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
