
St. Augustine Film Society: Brief Encounter
(904) 254-9524On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Limelight Theatre, the St. Augustine Film Society presents the award-winning and nominated film noir, Brief Encounter (1945).
Based on Noël Coward's one-act play and directed by David Lean, this forbidden love story centers around two characters, Laura Jesson and Dr. Alec Harvey. Although both individuals are married, they agree to meet at a railway station's café every week. This, in turn, leads to romantic feelings and conflicts between personal fulfillment and moral obligations.
Admission: $10.00 for the public. St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
