The St. Augustine Film Society hosts a screening of the drama/comedy, This Happy Breed (1944), on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Directed by David Lean, this story spans more than 20 years, following the Gibbons family (1919-1939), from the end of WWI to the beginning of WWII. Situated in South London, the relationships between husband and wife Frank and Ethel, their three children, a difficult mother-in-law, and a sister-in-law result in a complex household. The state of the world also adds to the chaos of their personal issues.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. St. Augustine Film Society members are free.

When: Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
