
The St. Augustine Film Society presents a screening of the political biographical drama, I'm Still Here (2024), on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Waterworks.
The winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film of 2025, and directed by Walter Salles, this story centers around themes of transformation and resistance. Set during the time of Brazil's military dictatorship (1964-1985), a mother of five has to create a new life after her husband, a former congressman, is abducted. This empowering, true story highlights Eunice Paiva's determination to unpack the truth behind Ruben Paiva's disappearance.
Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks.
