Adapted from Martha Batalha's novel and directed by Karim Aïnouz, this work tells the story of two estranged sisters in 1950s Rio de Janeiro. Guida, who yearns for love, and Euridice, who has a passion for playing piano, still hope to find their way back to each other. This acclaimed film highlights patriarchal society and female empowerment.
