The St. Augustine Film Society hosts a showing of the romance drama Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Written and directed by Céline Sciamma, this story is set in 18th-century France on a remote island in Brittany. A love affair occurs between a young painter, Marianne, and a bride-to-be model, Héloïse. Instructed to paint the bride's portrait secretly, Marianne must observe her features by day and paint from memory by night. They grow closer in relation as the wedding day approaches and Héloïse's last moments of freedom flee.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
