Based on the acclaimed novel by Betty Smith, the story focuses on a young woman, Francie Nolan, and her family's struggles with poverty in 1900s Brooklyn. Despite her living situation, Francie makes the best of her daily routine and the people close to her: an alcoholic father, a likable brother, and a hardworking mother.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.

When: Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks.
