Cafe Eleven presents Zydeco, roots music, and Americana sensation Terrance Simien and The Zydeco Experience on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Known for hits like “Gonna Take You There,” “It Don’t Pay to Cry / C’est Pas La Piene Braillier,” “Time for Me to Dance / C’est Mon Temps Pour Danse,” “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” and “Go Your Way,” Terrance Simien crafts music deeply rooted in his Creole heritage. Introduced to music through the piano and later mastering the trumpet and accordion, Simien began performing traditional Zydeco in the early 1980s.

Over his illustrious career, he toured in more than 45 countries and shared stages with icons such as Stevie Wonder, Marcia Ball, and Dave Matthews. His band, Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, made history as the first group to win a Grammy Award in the Zydeco category.

Simien's discography includes Zydeco On the Bayou, There's Room for Us All, Jam The Jazz Fest, Positively Bead Head, The Tribute Sessions, Creole For Kidz, Across the Parish Line, Live! Worldwide, and his most recent album, Dockside Sessions.

Guests younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guests younger than 21 will be charged an additional $5.00 at the door.

Admission: Tickets range from $32.71 to $55.51. Purchase tickets in advance online or at Cafe Eleven on the day of the show.
