The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Wayne Newton on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers in Las Vegas history and famously dubbed “Mr. Vegas,” Wayne Newton enjoyed a remarkable career spanning more than six decades since his debut in 1959. Praised by The Washington Post and other major outlets as the city’s top act and highest-grossing performer, Newton is best known for signature songs such as “Danke Schoen,” featured memorably in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, along with classics like “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Remember When,” and “Christmas Journey.”

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Newton began performing alongside his brother Jerry at local theaters, clubs, and fairs before the duo launched their own act, Rascals in Rhythm. The show led to appearances on ABC television, The Jackie Gleason Show, and the Grand Ole Opry roadshows.

Newton’s breakthrough came after signing with Capitol Records, when “Danke Schoen” climbed the charts and cemented his status as a star, aided by encouragement from legends including Jackie Gleason, Bobby Darin, Lucille Ball, and George Burns. Newton’s extensive discography spans dozens of releases, including Danke Schoen, Red Roses for a Blue Lady, Summer Wind, Songs for a Merry Christmas, The Best of Wayne Newton Live, and many others, with his most recent album, Mr. Las Vegas, released in 2005.

Beyond music, his filmography features notable roles and appearances in Rocky III, Licence to Kill, Vegas Vacation, Ocean’s Eleven, The Hangover, and numerous additional films, further solidifying his enduring presence in American entertainment.
