The St. Johns County Parks Department will host an all-day fishing clinic for women by women on May 21, 2022.

  • The St. Johns County Parks Department will offer an all-day Women's Fishing Clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022.

    The clinic is designed to increase awareness about responsible marine resource stewardship by raising awareness about the vulnerability of our marine ecosystems, while teaching kids the fundamentals of saltwater fishing.

    In the course, which is limited to 15 participants, beginning anglers can get tips on casting techniques, proper fish handling and knot tying as well as identifying fish and local regulations.

    Participants are asked to bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and a water bottle. Fishing gear will be provided. 

    Fishing Licenses

    All participants must have a Saltwater Shoreline License from the Florida Wildlife Commission. To obtain a license, visit here.
