EMMA Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," featuring a discussion of First Coast Opera's production of The Mikado on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

This Concert

Curtis Tucker, First Coast Opera's General and Artistic Director, hosts this hour of discussion and song, focused on the opera's upcoming performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. He is joined by Nelson Sheeley, the stage director for the production, and several members of the cast, who will perform excerpts of some songs from this iconic opera.

EMMA Concert Association's commitment to education and promoting the arts has led them to create the Words and Music Series, a mixture of music, spoken word performances, and theatre. Throughout the season, EMMA presents diverse artists in free performances at the Waterworks.

When: Thursday, March 5, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida. See below for directions by vehicle.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
