EMMA Concert Association presents another in their series of free events, "Words and Music at the Waterworks," on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

This Concert

Violinist Ilana Zaks-Nederlander grew up in Boston and studied at the New England Conservatory and Yale School of Music. As a student in the Perlman Music Program, Zaks-Nederlander studied with Itzhak Perlman. 

She has won numerous competitions and honors and served as a faculty member at the Seattle Conservatory of Music, Yale University, and Harvard. Zaks-Nederlander is on the faculty of both the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and Rollins College. 

She has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Boston Civic Symphony, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, the New England Philharmonic, and she was recently the featured soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota.

Admission: Free

When: Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks, 184 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida. See below for directions by vehicle.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
