Classical

Music genres are tricky, but one might think Classical Music to be more...well...classic. Not so. In reality, Classical Music is that which was composed between 1750 and 1820. The Baroque Music Era occurred before that and the Romantic Era afterward. Most of these were orchestral music and one would think that would have become the overarching term, but no. Instead, the term Classical Music has become the accepted name of the genre, encompassing music from Monteverdi to today's composers, including music performed by full orchestras, quartets, chamber orchestras choruses, and other ensembles.
