Rosalie

St. Augustine’s all-female trio Rosalie fuses rock and roll, folk, blues, Americana, and bluegrass to build a musical world buzzing with whimsical passion accompanied by their technical precision.

The all-female trio Rosalie has been playing around St. Augustine for only about a year, yet these three musicians have known each other for many more years. As each of them pursued solo careers and various projects with countless musicians around the music scene, Rosalie is casting a large shadow around the downtown area.

Combining rock and roll, Americana, folk, blues, and bluegrass, the ensemble covers a multitude of well-known cover songs from Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walking" to The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army". The trio is known for their musical diversity and technical precision, landing them in the realm of St. Augustine staple bands.

The role of lead singer is see-sawed back and forth throughout performances between drummer Lauren Gilliam and acoustic guitarist Chelsea Saddler. Both of these women have been on the cover of Narrow Music Magazine and have made a name for themselves over the years by forming various ensembles from duo acts to six-piece bands. Drummer and lead singer Lauren Gilliam is also the bass guitarist in the rock ensemble The Young Step and also plays the ukulele for her husband-and-wife duo The WillowWacks. Rosalie is rounded out with Elizabeth Nova on bass guitar who has been featured at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre's Front Porch Series as a solo singer-songwriter with her acoustic guitar.

Audiences can find each of ladies playing solo performances around town, but when they come together to form Rosalie there is nothing stopping them from throwing drumsticks in the air, stomping holes through stages, and making the largest sound three petite women can possibly achieve.
