Rusty Springfield

Another of St. Augustine's vast assemblage of professional musicians who have been-there-done-that, Rusty Springfield graces our stages with his consummate professionalism and creativity. Playing alongside local favorites such as Tony Scozzaro, Chris Carlson, and Russ DeFillipis, he reflects the rock and blues energy of his over thirty years of experience as a multi-genre bassist.

An alumnus of the renowned Berklee College of Music, Springfield is an Eclipse Recording Company studio player, whose sound can be heard backing up various creatives in the community. While balancing a full career of live performances with studio recording, Springfield has shared his love of the bass with students for over twenty years. His extensive discography includes more than half dozen albums, with at least two dozen songs credited to his creative penmanship. He plays R&B, funk, jazz, rock, country, and blues as a solo performer, and with various groups in the Northeast Florida audience.
