South City Live

Powerhouse ensemble South City Live is St. Augustine’s wow factor band, composed of eight elite musicians and vocalists that merge funk, soul, blues, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and pop.

Stellar, phenomenally rehearsed, and downright funky, St. Augustine's South City Live pulls out all the stops and brings a refreshing sound to the music scene. Fusing soul, blues, rock and roll, funk, pop, and rhythm and blues, South City takes the cake in terms of party bands.  With a three-piece horn section, this ensemble bursts at the seams with high energy and technically proficient musical execution.  Influenced by the entire spectrum of musical genre, this no-holds-barred act brings an array of well-known cover songs that range from the 1920s to present day.  Perfection and distinction are key to the band's overall feel and the group is as dynamic as they come, covering every artist from James Brown and Michael Jackson to Ray LaMontagne and ABBA.

Greg Stukes leads the eight-piece ensemble into musical bliss with his broad and extensive vocal range and natural ability to command the stage and the spotlight.  Electric bassist Ashley Wilkinson and drummer Elisha "Doogie" Parris bring the well-defined rhythmic funk to the stage, laying down the low-end rumble and hip-shaking backbone that goes straight to the soul.  They are joined by electric guitarist Lance Neely and keyboard player Bobby Wintons whose tasty riffs create the magnetic pull of audiences to the dancefloor, leaving every seat empty.  The band's three-piece horn section includes on Jonathan Ward on trumpet, Will Neal on trombone, and Darren Escar on saxophone, bringing the band's energy to an overwhelmingly intense maximum. The band's motto is simple, "You bring your people, and we'll bring the party."
