It is with great sadness that we report that the Mike Johnson & The Little Big Band has retired their name, in honor of their long-time bassist Steve Switkin who passed away in late 2020. The band has reformed as Live Stream, and can be seen twice every week at The Trade Winds Tropical Lounge.

He has long been in the music scene after a bull-riding accident pushed him in the direction of a full-time musical career.

Singer-songwriter Grant Peeples was born in Tallahassee and learned the words to every Roger Miller song by his 12th birthday.

He started writing his own songs a few years later. "All I cared about were the songs...As soon as I heard a song I liked, I took it apart, just like some dope kid who gets a new bike for his birthday and starts unbolting and unscrewing before he ever takes it for a ride."
