J.R. Ward started out playing country music in beach bars and nursing homes in north Florida. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, J.R. now lives in Palm Coast, Florida, tours throughout the Southeast U.S., and released his first EP, My Own Way in 2017.

The first single released from his EP, Ready to Go, was inspired by his time playing in the assisted living homes and nursing homes. It has been used for a national fundraising campaign with the Walk to End Alzheimer's and a music video was created with the help from Kindred at Home.

Jim McBride moved to Nashville from Huntsville, Alabama in the early 80s — after Conway Twitty took his song "A Bridge That Just Won't Burn" to No. 2 on the country charts. Since then, Jim has been awarded 14 BMI and ASCAP awards, including the 1994 ASCAP Song of the Year for "Chattahoochee," co-written and recorded by Alan Jackson.

Jim's songs have been recorded by over 100 major label artists including Johnny Cash, George Jones, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Alabama, Toby Keith, Crystal Gayle, Trace Adkins, and Luke Bryan.
