Blues Water Swamp Band has a distinctive sound that is a swampy mix of original blues with Southern R&B, classic rock, and rockabilly. The band is composed of four members — Gary Hillard on keys, harp, and vocals, Franc Robert on guitar and vocals, Jay Kenton Schoer on bass, and Dave Ametrano on drums and percussion.

Dave Rudolph

Dave Rudolph is an active member of the Tampa Bay music scene and has been playing since 1994.

Dave Rudolph picked up his first guitar when he was 7 years old. He learned how to play the drums at 11. In fact, he was so passionate about learning music that he earned two degrees in jazz performance at the University of South Florida. 

Dave has worked with various bands in the area including, the Valerie Gillespie Ensemble, Thick as Thieves, La Lucha, LaRue Nickelson, James Suggs, John Lamb, and his own group the Dave Rudolph Quintet. He has appeared in shows at the Straz Center and is currently a professor of contemporary percussion at the University of Tampa.

Danny Patnode has been writing his own songs since he was 9 years old. He attended college at SUNY Plattsburgh and Paul Smith's, where he studied fine arts, theater, music, and the hotel and restaurant business. Music was all over the Patnode household in Lake Placid, New York, when Danny was growing up, whether it was singing or playing musical instruments. The Irish influence came from his mother. After she would put her children to bed, she would sing old classic Irish songs in the kitchen, unaware that her children were listening to her the whole time.

Billy has also had the opportunity of sharing the stage with the Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steven Stills, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Gregg Allman, Molly Hatchett, Charlie Daniels, Steppenwolf, and Wet Willie.
