St. Augustine welcomes a new musical group, Salt and Pine, which was recently named the Best New Artist at the 2018 Narrow Music Awards. Now a group of four (Nolan Baker on guitar and vocals, Haley Thompson on percussion, vocals and piano, Matthew Kirkland on banjo and mandolin, and Sam Chen on the cello), they bring together what they call "songs from the heart."

Red River Band has been heating up the stages in the music scene in  St. Augustine, Florida for over two decades. Performing a variety of vintage and contemporary country, bluegrass, southern rock, gospel, and classic rock, the five-piece fiery band shows no signs of slowing down. Red River Band has been known to cover artists ranging from Michael Jackson to Martina McBride.

Amy Vickery grew up in Oklahoma and Wyoming and spent her summers in North Florida where her family originated—she finally moved there in 1997. A musician for more than 25 years, Amy has been performing as a solo artist in Northeast Florida since 1999. Amy plays songs from her favorite artists as well as some of her original music. When she performs, she combines Americana and indie-folk rock to deliver the best sound. Now, Amy performs regularly around St. Augustine and other areas of North Florida.

John Winters

A performer since the 60s, Johns Winters has been musically inclined since his teenage years in the Northeast.

Over the years, John Winters has established himself as a singer, musician, and songwriter. In his earlier years, John consistently performed solo and as a part of a couple rock bands. After 1989, he moved to St. Augustine and plunged into the music scene down in Northeast Florida, and he has been playing in the area ever since. In the 70s, John Winters opened for the likes of James Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, and Aztec Two Step.

Lis Williamson has spent three decades as a musician playing over 3,000 gigs in her lifetime.

Lis Williamson is a local musician who's been playing her guitar for many years. She has been focused on her musical career for over 35 years and has played at hundred of music festivals. Lis is a guitar player and a lead singer in bluegrass bands, country bands, folk trios, madrigals, and jazz ensembles. She is a regular performer at honkytonks, wine bars, churches and barns, restaurants, and rodeos around the country, and at events such as weddings, funerals, anniversaries, fundraisers, and more.

From the creative mind of Kensley Stewart comes this local surf/soul/rock band.

Kenny and the Jets is one of the most popular beach bands to hit the local scene. Kensley Stewart, vocalist and songwriter, joined Jacob Hamilton, gifted guitar player, to put together this band in 2015. Stewart's talents lie in her ability to blend country, soul, and rock sounds, attracting a diverse group of listeners.

Other members of the band are Jacob Hamilton playing baritone guitar, Cole Helman on lead guitar, and JD Dunlap on the drums.

John Alison

A much loved and award-winning guitarist that is greatly missed since his passing.

It is with great sadness that we report that John Alison passed away in March, 2023. Alison played around St. Augustine, bringing together flat picking, jazzy rock, bluegrass and classical. As an award-winning flatpicker, he played with the best, and in addition to his love of playing, Alison taught guitar, mandolin, and bass.

The Starlight Trio is St. Augustine's ever-changing gypsy folk ensemble more than four decades in the making. Originally branded in the late 70s as Rose Tattoo, The Starlight Trio has gone by several names over the years including The Wingnutsand Silverheels. Members of The Starlight Trio include singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitar wizard Rick Kuncicky, along with singer-songwriter and upright bassist Lon Williamson, and singer-songwriter and banjoist Lis Williamson.
