Stoked to Surf Camp

Stoked to Surf Camp offers one-week surf camps for youth from the end of May through early August. Instructors Fitch McGraw and Cooper McGraw are experienced surfers, very familiar with the waters off St. Augustine Beach. Fitch has been a surfing instructor for eight years, and Cooper has four years of experience. Both have surfed since they were young boys and both enjoy the experience of helping someone catch their first wave.

The classes focus on water safety at all times. Surf instructors teach the basic paddling techniques, how to catch a wave, and how to stand on a board. This fun vacation "school" teaches surfing to novice surfers using exciting and creative techniques.

Camp Information

• Classes begin at 8:45 a.m., on Mondays through Fridays. Students who sign up for a full day will be on the beach and in the water until 2:30 p.m. Half-day students are released at 12:30 p.m. 
• All necessary equipment is provided.
• Students must be at least seven years of age.
• Students meet the instructors at the beach entrance of 4th Street in St. Augustine Beach.
• Stoked to Surf Camp will provide small snacks and a cooler of water. Students should bring extra snacks, lunch, a towel, sunblock, and water.
• At the end of the day each Friday, there will be a pizza party for that week's campers at Aqua East Surf Shop.

Camp Schedule and Cost

Stoked to Surf Camp offers full and half-day one-week sessions, beginning Tuesday, May 28, and continuing through Thursday, August 8. On most weeks, Surf Camp takes place Monday through Friday, starting at 8:45 a.m.

• Full Day, 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — $395.00 per week
• Half Day, 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — $285.00 per week
