Opening: "Dewdrop Galaxy" by Bill Boxer

On Friday, October 2, 2026, the AC Hotel St. Augustine hosts the opening of their newest art exhibit: "Dewdrop Galaxy" by photographer Bill Boxer. The event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Exhibit

Local photographer and musician Bill Boxer has documented landscapes, architecture, and culture with his cameras. More recently, he has focused on discovering the "quiet world around us,' with his ongoing project, Close to Home, which has resulted in works depicting nature that highlight texture, the play of light on water, and the hidden world in our gardens. 

For the exhibit at the AC Hotel, Boxer has selected photos featuring tiny drops of moisture—dewdrops—and the hidden beauty they offer. Dewdrop Galaxy shows dewdrops nestled in leaves, reflecting the world around us, and some just before they fall. These vibrant photos offer a glimpse into a world many of us don't see. 

The Evening

In addition to meeting the photographer, Bill Boxer, the hotel bar offers food and drink for purchase, including a signature drink for the evening, "Dewdrop Galaxy."

Musicians Gordon Russell on cornet and Bill Pearson on keyboards perform jazz, blues, and a bit of pop music throughout the evening.
