Creatures of the Night

Creatures of the Night at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park offers a fun and unusual way for kids (and adults) to enjoy Halloween. The event features tricks, treats, creepy insects, and alligator feedings. Kids can see the animals and collect animal cards along the trick-or-treating path. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume. 

This year, Creatures of the Night is on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 pm.

What to Expect

Enter Creatures of the Night through the green arched doorway between the main entrance and the Conservation Center.

Once inside, choose your own path through the farm and zoological park. Enjoy the themed areas and habitats, stopping at the tables set up for the evening. At the stops, enjoy interactive experiences, and young trick-or-treaters should bring a bag to collect candy, creature cards, and other treats. Make sure to visit some of the zoo's ambassador animals, which could include snakes, lizards, and crocodilians. 

The Toucan Tina Café is open that evening, selling refreshments and treats.

Event Details

Admission: Online prices are $20.00 for adults and teens and $14.00 for children ages 2-11. Under-twos are welcome at no cost. Special member pricing is available. Advance tickets are encouraged and available on their website: choose tickets and then the heading "Community Events."

When: 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2026. The gates open at 5:00 p.m.

About the Alligator Farm

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park has provided fun and educational opportunities to interact with wildlife since 1893. Zoo residents include crocodilians, reptiles, mammals, and birds. Located on Anastasia Island in St. Augustine, the Alligator Farm features natural exhibits, wildlife shows, and educational demonstrations. The Alligator Farm earned the historic site designation in 1992.
