Agricultural Center's 25th Anniversary Exhibit
(904) 209-0430St. Johns County Agricultural Center celebrates the area's diverse agricultural community with an exhibition of historic farming equipment, tools and artwork. This exhibit also commemorates the County's Agricultural Center's 25th Anniversary. The exhibit will be on display at the County Administration Building from Feb. 4 - April 24, 2014.
The exhibit will highlight agribusiness' important historical and economical impact on St. Johns County which is second only to tourism in terms of economic impact. Some of the instruments displayed dated back to the late 1800's! This exhibit is made possible by a partnership between St. Johns County's farmers and ranchers and the staff from the Cooperative Extension Service at the Agricultural Center.
This exhibition will also feature the Florida Agricultural Museum's "Black Cowboys: Past and Present" exhibit which tells the story of Africans and African-Americans in the cattle industry in Florida, from herding traditions to their African roots. Visitors can come by and view the fascinating artifacts from Florida's past farming industry.
Where? This exhibit will be hosted at the County Administration Building located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL 32084.
When? Exhibit is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday - Friday, Feb. 4 - April 24, 2014.
