The St. Johns County Horse Council presents the Drum Runners game series from January through November 2026 at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds. These events are generally held on the first Saturday of every month and are open to the public. 

The event consists of barrel racing, pole racing, and other timed speed-horse events. You can attend and watch the event at no charge. There is a fee to enter the competition, and participants must have their own horses. The registration fee for participating is $25.00 for St. Johns County Horse Council members and $35.00 for non-members.

Awards are presented for each age group for each event. The rider age groups are 1 – 9 years, 10 – 13 years, 14 – 17 years, 18 – 29 years, 30 – 45 years, and 46 and older.

Admission: Free for spectators. Participant fees are $25.00 for St. Johns County Horse Council members and $35.00 for non-members.

When: 1:00 p.m. on one Saturday a month from February through November 2026. The full schedule for 2026 is January 3, February 14, March 21, April 18, May 2, June 6, July 11, August 1, September 12, October 3, and November 7. Call (904) 588-8017 for more information.

Registration and demonstrations begin at 10:00 a.m. There is a barrel jackpot at 11:00 (special $20.00 entry fee applies), and the game series starts at 1:00 p.m.
