A blues and rock band from California, Andy Frasco and the U.N. formed in 2007. The core band is composed of lead vocalist Andy Frasco, who plays keyboards; Sam Kelly on saxophone, Shawn Eckels on guitar and vocals, Andee Avila on drums and vocals, and Floyd Kellogg on bass guitar. This high-energy band, led by the always-moving Frasco, is a funky blend of jazz, surf rock, swing, reggae, and soul. The energy provides the optimism and the beat for lyrics that can be thoughtful, emotional, and fun.

Their most recent, and sixth, studio album has been called the band's most "hopeful and enthusiastic" collection of songs.
