Cafe Eleven presents Eric Johnanson in their listening room on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.

Active since the early 2000s, singer, songwriter, and guitarist Eric Johanson has carved out a distinct presence in the blues-rock scene with tracks like "Undertow," "Death Letter," and "Yellow Moon." With over 41,000 listeners across Spotify and other streaming platforms, Johanson delivers lyrics that are raw and evocative, unfolding tales of dark journeys, seductive danger, and the gritty heart of the Deep South.

A native of Louisiana, Johanson weaves his roots into every performance. Raised in a musical family, his early influences ranged from the heavy sounds of White Zombie, Metallica, and Megadeth to the deep soul of Southern blues. He began playing in his teens and has since shared the stage with notable artists such as Anders Osborne, JJ Grey, and Mike Zito. His performances have made an impact at major festivals including the Edmonton Blues Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest, and the Chicago Blues Festival.

Johanson's discography reflects his evolution and depth as an artist, featuring albums like Burn It Down, Blues in My Blood, Below Sea Level, Covered Tracks Volumes 1 and 2, Deep and Dirty, Blues Caravan 2024, and his latest release, Live in Mississippi.
