The St. Johns County Parks Department will host Fishing 101: Handing, Weighing, and Measuring a fish at 603 Euclid Avenue at the Usina Boat Ramp in Vilano Beach on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Guests (ages 10 and up) will learn about all the details surrounding fishing, which include:

The proper way to hold a fish.
Measuring at fork length.
Discovering how much a catch weighs.

The event is $12.00, please register to reserve a spot. Participants are required to have a Saltwater Shoreline License. For more information, visit the St. Johns County recreation FAQ.
