Flagler College Theatre Arts Department presents The Children's Hour, written by Lillian Hellman, from Wednesday, September 30, through Sunday, October 4, at the Lewis Auditorium. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday has a matiné at 2:00 p.m.
Set in a small town in 1930s New England, two women who run an all-girls private boarding school, Karen and Martha, are accused of having a romantic relationship by a student, Mary. The rumor spreads, and with the authority of Mary's grandmother, the parents remove their children from the school. With the ongoing libel suit against the grandmother, Karen and Martha endure scrutiny, social damage, and a shattered reputation for what seems to be long-lasting.
Admission: $20.00 for general admission; free for Flagler College students and employees. Tickets can be purchased online.
When: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, through Saturday, October 3; 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.
