About the Performance

The 15 musicians in Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) are renowned soloists and ensemble performers who spend more than four months a year traveling nationally and globally to share their music. Wynton Marsalis, composer and trumpet player, has led the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra for close to 40 years as the orchestra's managing and artistic director. Marsalis has consistently chosen a variety of compositions each season, and this versatile orchestra has a vast repertoire of old and historic works to new music commissioned by Lincoln Center.

Marsalis has recorded more than 100 jazz and classical albums and has won nine GRAMMY awards.
