Justin Hayward: Nights Featuring Mike Dawes

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will present singer-songwriter Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues in concert with special guest Mike Dawes on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

With almost 50 years at the top of the industry, both with the Moody Blues and as a solo artist, Hayward's distinctive voice and wide-ranging talent are well known. The Moody Blues band has sold 55 million albums and received numerous awards, including receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.

Born in Wilshire, England, in 1946, Hayward joined the Moody Blues in 1966 and was the band's lead singer and guitarist from 1967-1974. Hayward used band breaks to record solo albums starting with his 1975 collaboration with John Lodge, Blue Jays, which reached the UK Top 5.

Hayward wrote singles for the Moody Blues including "Nights in White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon," "Voices in the Sky," "Never Comes the Day," "Question," "Your Wildest Dreams" and "The Story in Your Eyes." In all, Hayward wrote 20 of the group's 27 post-1967 singles.

Currently, Hayward is consistently touring the globe with The Moody Blues and as a solo artist accompanied by Julie Ragins and Mike Dawes, one of a new generation of young exceptional and gifted guitar players.

Admission: Tickets prices are $52.50 to $87.50.

Where: The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is located at 1050 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Parking Information: Parking will be available onsite. There will be a $5 parking fee for ticketed events and for free events parking will also be free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
