Limelight Theatre: "Catch Me If You Can"

Limelight Theatre opens Season 35 with Catch Me if You Can, from Thursday, September 10, through Sunday, September 27, 2026. On Sundays, the show starts at 2:00 p.m.; all the other shows start at 7:30 p.m. The Teriffic Tuesday production is on September 22, 2026. The musical is rated PG-13.

This Production

Written by Terrence McNally, the musical features music by Mark Shaiman and lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman. As in the movie, teenager Frank Abagnale runs away from home and creates a new life, posing as a succession of adults with professional jobs, including a doctor, pilot, and lawyer. As in the book and film, Abagnale is pursued by a determined F.B.I. agent. This musical production includes more than 15 original songs. 

The original Broadway production featured Norbert Leo Butz as Agent Carl Hannatty and Aaron Tveit as Frank Abagnale, Jr. The musical opened on March 11, 2011, and closed that year on September 4. The production received nominations in several categories for the Astaire Awards, the Drama Desk Awards, and the Tony Awards. Norbert Leo Butz won "Best Actor in a Musical" in all three.

When: On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September, 27. Sunday shows are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days begin at 7:30 p.m.

• Terrific Tuesday is September 27. 

Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is free parking behind the theater—enter from Old Mission Avenue and drive to the back to park in the lot on Bernard Street. Use the main entrance.
