The nonprofit Matanzas Riverkeeper Association and the Outer Banks Boil Company host the Sunset Seafood Social, a fundraiser for the Matanzas Riverkeeper on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The event is at Genung's Fish Camp, 291 Cubbedge Road, St. Augustine, Florida 32080.

This nonprofit organization has worked to preserve and protect the Guana, Tolomato, and Matanzas rivers and their estuaries since the early 1990s. They offer education to groups and schools, participate in and organize events to encourage and promote river protection, and run the Litter Gitter. This shallow-draft, open powerboat takes volunteers out on the rivers to pick up garbage. The Matanzas Riverkeeper Association's mission is "to protect the health of the Guana, Tolomato, Matanzas estuary and watershed through advocacy, education, and community engagement."

At the Sunset Seafood Social, you can dine on an enhanced Lowcountry boil, prepared by the Outer Banks Boil Company: corn, potatoes, sausage, shrimp, and onions, seasoned with butter and spices.

This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.

Admission: $50.00 per person. Purchase tickets in advance, here.

When: Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
