This southern section of Anastasia Island, the Crescent Beach Region is scattered with shops, restaurants, and places to stay from State Road 206 to the Matanzas National Park on the island’s southern tip. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and by the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, the Crescent Beach Region provides both sandy beaches and freshwater fishing, boating, and kayaking. The Crescent Beach Region begins 10 miles from the Plaza de la Constitución A1A.
An iconic Florida fish camp, Genung's began in 1948. Now in additon to bait and tackle, they have a venue site for special events and kayak and paddleboard rentals.
GeoTrippin' Adventure Co. offers kayak tours and instruction — and fun on the water — with their tours of the waterways of the Matanzas and St. Johns Rivers.
The Green Road Boat Ramp is located in Crescent Beach, south of downtown St. Augustine at the end of Green Road. There is a single access dock with limited parking.
