The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes military veterans to learn and practice cast net fishing on Wednesday, February 25, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Usina Boat Ramp in Vilano Beach.

This hands-on event for those 18 and over provides veterans a chance to learn proper techniques for casting a net, and to enjoy a morning at the boat ramp. Guided by knowledgeable staff, participants will engage in instructional activities and have the opportunity to fish in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, equipment can be provided if needed.
