The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes military veterans and their families to a Catch Your Own Bait Workshop on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Usina Boat Ramp in Vilano Beach.

This hands-on event for all ages provides veterans and their family members the chance to learn to catch their own fishing bait and enjoy a morning at the boat ramp. Guided by knowledgeable staff, participants will engage in instructional activities and have the opportunity to fish in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear; however, equipment can be provided if needed.

Admission: Free. Register online to secure a spot in this event.
