Military Veteran Fishing: Make a Rig

Military veterans can learn about making a rig at this fishing event.

St. Johns County Parks and Recreation presents the Military Veteran Fishing session on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Usina Boat Ramp Pavilion. 

This two-hour course is free and available only to military veterans. The class consists of hands-on activities regarding the various methods used to make a rig. While encouraged to bring your own equipment, gear will be provided if needed. 

Participants are required to have a valid shoreline saltwater fishing license for this class or fall under the exempt criteria determined by the Fish and Wildlife Commission. To find more information on the license, please visit here, or call (904) 209-0335.

Admission: Free. This event is open only to military veterans. The number of participants is limited and reservations are required. To make a reservation, go here.
