Mud Mania 2014

Mud Mania at St. Johns County Fairgrounds is an outdoor obstacle course that is covered in mud and will undoubtedly get you covered in mud too! Visitors participating in this unique 5k will test their determination and grit!

What is Mud Mania? This outdoor course is a bootcamp style 5k (3.2 miles) run that is embedded with over 20 obstacles. Participants are allowed to run as individuals or in teams. This race is run in 30 minute heats of 300 people each. Mud Mania is a 5K run designed to appeal to a wide range of athleticism. Whether this is your first event, or your 10th event, the Mud Mania course can be mastered! It may take some teamwork and you may not have the fastest time in your heat, but you CAN finish this race! Visitors wishing to test their physical and mental ability while also enjoying a fun run can enter this event.

The Course: The course will consist of muddy creeks, pastures, trails, and even fire. Runners will go through acres and acres of obstacles to reach the finish line!

Registration: Online registration is available, participants can Click Here. Registration is $50 per person and includes participation in the event itself, an official Mud Mania t-shirt, online access to candid photos of each person's run, and entry to the post-run celebration. (A $2 processing fee will apply.) There are 12 heats in total that runners can register for. The first starts at 9 a.m. and the last heat starts at 4 p.m.

Who can run in Mud Mania?  Children 13 and under will need to run in the kids course with a parent or guardian. The kid's course will be less distance, less dangerous, and have more mud. Those ages 14 -18 years old can run the main course under supervision and parent or guardian must sign a waiver.  

Day of Race: Upon arrival at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds participants should head immediately to the Registration area to check in. The event packet will include visitors' race bibb, timing chip, and t-shirt. First aid and water stations will be posted along the course with volunteer EMS personnel.

Event Post Party! The post party will include beer and food vendors, and is free for all Mud Mania participants and spectators.
