The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTMNERR) hosts an immersive and guided walk from the Atlantic Ocean to the Matanzas River estuary at the River to the Sea Preserve, 9805 North Ocean Shore Boulevard, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.
The walk crosses dunes, maritime forests, and mangroves as you learn more about each ecosystem and the habitat it supports. On this hike, work with the science team to investigate salinity, pH, plankton, tide, and other factors that indicate or impact the ecosystem's health.
