This evening there will be the Oglethorpe Park Dedication, a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Oglethorpe Park Historical Society Monument held at the park at the corner of Oglethorpe Ave. and Arrendondo Ave. in North Davis Shores on Anastasia Island. A brief history of the British Siege of 1740 will be featured with uniformed re-enactors, City of St. Augustine staff and commission members as well as the 450th Military Committee. Also there will be members of the National Park Service and St. Augustine Historical Society present.
