Jacksonville University Choir will perform from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Ancient City Baptist Church.

For the 2023 Festivale Romanza, the Jacksonville University Choir celebrates THIS Day, in honor of the late Frances Bartlett Kinne, a former President of the university. The performance will include, "Rejoice in the Lamb," by Benjamijn Britten, and a new piece commissioned to celebreate the 60th anniversary of Jacksonville University's Lnda Berry Stein Collge of Arts and Humanities.

Under the direction of Julian Bryson, the choir contributes to the cultural life of Northeast Florida by bringing high quality and artistically polished performances of the choral repertoire to campus, the community and the region.

The Jacksonville University Choir has performed for conferences of the American Choral Directors Association, the Florida Music Educators Association and the Music Teachers National Association.

Other notable performances include concerts in New York's Avery Fisher Hall, England's Canterbury Cathedral, TEDx and numerous collaborations with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. The choir presents more than 40 concerts each year on campus, in the community and on tour.
