Romanza presents ...
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to noon, the Romanza Festivale presents four St. Augustine Tale Tellers, each relating tales of "Florida Through the Years," at the courtyard of the St. Augustine Historical Research Library.
The Program
Tale Tellers David Fussell, Kathy Kniery, Priscilla Gulliver, and Chris Kastle share stories that few have heard, from early Florida through to modern-day Florida.
From Jacksonville, now living in St. Augustine, David Fussell often portrays Florida's first civilian territorial governor, William Pope Duval, and shares tales of Florida's early days as a U.S. state.
Kathy Kniery's career as a library/media specialist honed her storytelling skills. Now, she tells stories about her new home, St. Augustine.
Chris Kastle is an award-winning storyteller, songsmith, and author who has traveled widely and presented for "Stories in Schools." She frequently tells tales about the sea and seafaring folk.
